I absolutely loved this place, and it history the ruins are really well preserved and the fact you are still able to walk above and inside the ruins but wear wellies as they get flooded regularly

Special atmosphere. Well worthwhile visiting even if the access road is pretty tricky.

This place is spectacular! The car park is hard to reach (even by Cornish standards) down a long and narrow lane which increasingly feels like a private driveway, but trust and press on - you’ll be well rewarded! 👏🏻

I enjoyed the walk it's beautiful. The village itself is interesting but small and just an outline really, the fogou was very cool and I was fascinated. It didn't take long but I enjoyed the visit

Stick to the trail to find the spot, about a 10min tread which can be a little more arduous in the rain. But won’t hurt you and you get to see cows along the way. A great way of life to witness

Best way to visit if you have a vehicle is by leaving it at Chapel Carn car park and walking the bridle path..this way brings you to the wonderful holy well first which if you travel by the signpost way via road you won't find this well. The centre piece of this old village is the underground Fougou.Just to sit among this settlement in the silence is worth the walk..enjoy.

This is such a lovely historic place to visit. We spent a couple of hours exploring in and around the ancient village and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a short 5 min walk up from the car park, but it can be a bit slippy along the cobbled route if it has rained recently. If you're unfit or have any mobility ailments, it is slightly easier to go the cobbled path route. Parking is very limited!

Free but there's a donation system. An absolutely compelling place to visit. A long drive down narrow dirt tracks at low speed - don't be scared, just drive slowly - brought us to the most beautiful little walk. The bird life sounded gorgeous and we could hear cows calling out to one another in the distance. We chose the shorter walk on the green track because it was a wet and rainy day. There's an ancient well along the slightly longer walk on the red track. After a short walk down the lovely track lined with mossy trees and stones, we came to a gateway that was the entrance. At first the site seems unremarkable because most of the stone walls are low. Find a higher vantage point and get a good view, looking down onto it all. Look for the underground chamber (?) if that's the right word. We wondered if that's where they stored food or if it was where they put livestock at night. It was great to imagine life here. There's a donation system for the upkeep off the site, which I recommend contributing to.

I've lived in Cornwall over 30 years and had never been to this location so decided to build a long walk around it. I was not disappointed. The site is FREE to visit and fascinating. You can even go into one of the surviving buildings. It's a must see. You can also walk footpaths to Chapel Carn a fantastic hill with amazing views out to Lands End. It's an easy walk from Carn Euny via a nature reserve.

Beautiful little place to go and imagine, nice little circular walk from the car park. Sparked my girls imagination, they loved the underground bit. 1 geocache is up here as well, left some pressies for the next finder! If you wander up past the farm houses (look on maps) there's a little well just a little further up also, it's mentioned on one of the information signs. Be warned there are single track roads to get in and out, there are passing places but some are quite far apart.
